Fusions of phones, music players and cameras have been the vogue for a long time, to the point that they are almost considered a necessity now in any new mobile phone. In one of these regards, at least, the Sony Ericsson W890i truly shines as Sony Ericsson combines the Walkman and the mobile phone into one classy, yet practical gadget that is sure to appeal. By further perking its ear to customer feedback, it also improved both the keypad of the W880i, the predecessor of the W890i, as well as added an FM radio that was lacking.
Features of the Sony Ericsson W890i
In terms of the music player, nothing is left to be desired. By giving the W890i the latest Walkman software that is acres ahead of the pack, this mobile phone delivers high quality music with ease of usage. Coupled with good headphones, be they Bluetooth or otherwise, no music enthusiast would ever be disappointed.
Going that extra mile, the Sony Ericsson W890i not only delivers 3G, but it does so in a fashion that has grown to be known as 3.5G. Via this 3.5G, or HSDPA as it is really called, technology, data downloads reach high speed rates like never before, over ten times faster than regular 3G technology. For anyone who uses 3G services or downloads on a regular basis, this is a positively stunning development.
Of course, as should be expected, there is a camera that captures video and pictures at 3.2 megapixels. Only downside is that there is no autofocus; however it is performs well for video phone calls and the like. Furthermore with the packaged VideoDJ software it is easy to go over any captured video and edit.
Completing the attractive package is the included web browser, 3D games, and RSS feed support. Also, for frequent flyers there is a flight mode that will allow them to use their mobile phone while on planes, providing permitted by the airlines.
The Choice of Music Lovers and 3G Junkies
While the Sony Ericsson W890i definitely could appeal to anyone with a taste for fantastic features all within a slim, hip finish, for music lovers and 3G junkies this phone really does go the extra mile. Certainly, it stands up against competition and even trumps them resoundingly in some regards, as, together with the Walkman software, there is little that really can compare.
Seemingly, Sony Ericsson made a wise decision in listening to customer feedback, as by correcting the grouses that many had with the predecessor that was the 880i, there is little to complain about with the 890i. By improving on their mistakes, it would appear that this time the final product is a definite winner.
Anyone who would use their phone as a music player, or even any that tends to make video calls or download content; it would be worthwhile to consider mobile phone deals that offer the Sony Ericsson W890i. For any others, it is still a very well designed and very useable phone, and is worthy of attention.
